"Give freely what you got freely." If you use my graphics, a link to my site from yours would be nice, but it isn't required. Commercial UseI've been getting a lot of questions about the rules for using my graphics on a commercial site, so here they are: In order to use my graphics on a commercial site (or sites), you must include a link back to my page from each page on which my graphics appear. A single line at the bottom of the page is all that is required. Something like: "Graphics by Jelane"that links back to: http://www.erinet.com/jelane/families/ Check out the bottom line on the following page for an example:

Why I Added the Pornography ExclusionI actually found a site dealing in smut that had used my graphics. I detest pornography. It offends my deepest sensibilities. However, since I am an advocate of free-speech, I cannot sanction censorship. I abhor book burning, the Communications Decency Act, and anything else which would impinge on peoples' right to say what they think. So, because my ethical beliefs will never permit me to say that we should censor pornography, what I can do is forbid anyone from ever associating my stuff, and thereby my name, with smut. Have your dirty pictures all you want, just keep my stuff out of it and off your Web site.
